Aimed at presenting Shandong to the world, "Confucius' Hometown, China's Shandong" Online Photography Contest has been successfully held for nine years consecutively. The contest has attracted numerous photographers and shutterbugs, with official page view hits a record. The contest featuring a large number of works from participants with rich content provided abundant quality image resources for Shandong's publicity. The corresponding photo exhibitions have been held in Shandong Museum for years and galleries have been published.

Sponsored by the Information Office of People's Government of Shandong Province, Office of Shandong Provincial Cyberspace Affairs Commission and Shandong Photographers Association, and organized by China Shandong Website, "Confucius' Hometown, China's Shandong" Online Photography Contest embarked on a new journey in 2019. The contest will pay more attention to the professionalismand interactivity of the competition, and hold "Beautiful Shandong"photography gathering activities inside and outside Shandong so as to provide thephotographers with a broader platform for display and communication.
